2fort day and night?

Hey,

I found a night version of 2fort the other day. Has anybody else seen it, and like it?
Would be interesting to see a day/night version of 2fort same way as lazy town is done.

Anybody else think so?

got to dash, and no i havn't found a server running it in ages.

the screenshot looks good, maybe GTFO could put it in rotation with 2fort on server #2, would be cool to have same map but with a slight change to it for every other game.

There's a version with rain too O.o

The water level in this one is really fucked up however. The sewers are fully submerged and you start to drown if you stay in the tunnels too long. Only way to get air is near the health packs and stairs.

Played it a few days ago. It was alright.
Map name is ctf_2fort_night, so just search for that if you want to check it out.

I reckon its probably worth bunging on #2 if its not too different to the original. 2fort is a marmite map after all so if anybody will like it then it should be the #2 regs

It certainly looks atmospheric. Probably more-so than the regular 2 Fort. Would it not be a good idea to run 2Fort Day And Night on #2, and use #12 for the more unusual maps such as Hydro, CTF Well? I miss those unusual ones! :(

Definitely worth a try - looks like it could add a creepy feel to 2fort, especially with all those spies sneaking around recently...

Put it in rotation on the 2fort server and see what the feedback is like?

Having it a night is definately an interesting change of the map, since the darkness gives some additional strategy elements for various classes. And getting nearly a heart attack when you suddently get stabbed in a dark corner. :wink:

Hi, last night i was looking for a full server to play on, and I found a 2fort day\night\rain rotation. Sadly it was empty :( Well it was 4/5 am. I know I can't advertise the server here. So I will put the ip address in my steam page.

If you admins think this post is wrong please edit or remove it. Don't want to cause any trouble.

I agree with lucky except for #11, I honestly don't think anyone plays Arena... I could be wrong though, would be interesting to see some Valve stats on how much its played.

GTFO's arena server was quite popular, the only thing that put a damper on it was the fact people had to sit out, but now cvars and custom mods have released to bypass this and allow for epic 16 vs 16 arena tournaments with nobody ever sitting out

Who cares? It's more enjoyable. 2fort is pretty big... having 24 players spread all over the map makes it really rare to find any action.

I'm not entirely sure that 2fort day/night on server 2 would go down too well, to be honest. The server's pretty well busy all the time, with a good bunch of regs who come back again and again and the phrase 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' springs inevitably to mind.

I'd personally prefer to see the map tried out on a different server, rather than risk it becoming a potential server-emptier on #2.

Have to agree with cole here. No need to mess around with the well established servers. Main goal should be to first get #08 and #11 running and maybe a server #12 can be used to test out some further things.

Fellow people like me who prefer vanilla over instant cannot play 2fort server, as we miss out on a good map becuase there is no 2fort vanilla server,
