Characteristics:
The hijacker uses the greed of the victim and tells him/her a game key through IM. Typically, the game is Speedball 2 - Tournament, the key to which you can get it for free. After activation of the key, the hijacker writes to Steam Support and asked to restore the victim's account. When Steam Support restore the account, it belongs to the hijacker.
What should you do?
Do not be an idiot and do not activate the game keys from strangers to your account.
If your account has been hijacked by this way!
Submit a ticket to Steam Support, provide the key of the first activated the game on your account, and ask for a removal of game that the hijacker gave to you, because he can reset your account with that key again. If the account is VAC banned by the actions of the hijacker, then the ban will not be removed.
Valve have recently added an extra layer of security to the steam platform. This prevents people from changing your password without having to do anything else, now when your password is changed you need to also click on the link in a confirmation email that gets sent to your email inbox
I am bringing this up as in the past few minutes Plodgeface has been hacked and can no longer get onto his account, therefore I am showing you how to prevent this from happening to yourselves!

2. Click on Verify Email Address

3. Click Next

4. Wait for the confirmation message to come up then click Finish

5. Go into your email account and look for an email from Steam Support open it up and click on the link to verify your email
