Been playin' it since Monday (Muahahahaha)

So, I got my US-Import (PS3) on monday... been playin' it quite a bit since then. absolutely lovin' it. MW2 can suck it.

the campaign is well crafted (in terms of location variety, graphics, sound design, etc) and a whole lot of fun. I do however miss the open-world-ness (whateveryouwannacallit) from the first installment of the Bad Company series tho'. There's one mission that provides some of it, but - for me at least - the rest is too linear. especially since they introduce elements like the UAV, tripwires, etc but never use them again. in a more open setting with multiple approaches there'd be plenty of ways to include some of them again.

multiplayer is a blast too. except for the end-of-round siren/horn thing. makes me wanna choke somebody.

anyway, if any of ya are also playin' it on the PS3 (since my comp wouldn't be able to run it at a satisfactory level), hit me up via PM so we can exchange PSN Names-

its fair to say the ps3 version and xbox version suck on so many levels,

24 man servers vs 32 man on pc

maximum of 30 fps on console vs infinite number on pc's

detail on console is on medium settings vs pc's high and ultra high settings

no server browser on console vs server browser on pc

patching on consoles require thorough testing from either playstation or microsoft vs pc's DICE test and thats it.

unfortunately I have not yet perfected my shitting-money-techinque (so far only the coins I ate came out the back again), so I don't think I can afford a new comp that can actually make it look decent. so for now I'll stick to my horrible, horrible consoles...
