Hlstats bug?

Postby Joe » 05 Aug 2009, 21:16

I don't know if theres a bug with hlstats or something, but went on tf2 to get my 50 kills today
and killed 55 people. But hlstats said i only had 35 kills at the same time, which I found strange :?:

Its a "best effort" type system really. It sometimes misses things.

More interesting is the highly improbable 55 kills and 2 deaths...

Apologies for digging up a topic thats nearly a month old but i've noticed the HLstats has been getting worse over the past few weeks

Today i took a screenshot on Badwater (Server #4) which shows me with 9 kills, 13 deaths and 7 headshots....yet the session data has only picked up 1 kill and no headshots.

Now i enjoy watching the stats and this is severely taking the enjoyment out of playing on the GTFO servers for me and i'm sure i cant be the only one seeing this issue.

I'm pretty sure this is a known issue with HLstatsX CE 1.6 so why do we continue to run a bugged stats deamon? Is there any reason we cant roll back to 1.6.0 or 1.5.6?

The issue is the load we put on mysql, than a code defect. We currently have quad core core2 arch server with 2GB RAM soley for mysql, and it's in pretty bad shape at peak times. Considering the cost of this server, addressing the issue with more powerful hardware and cost involved with that is not woth the side effect of losing some stats.

If it's putting that much strain on the servers maybe code defect isn't the right word, but sounds like the design needs improved :!:

Is HLstatsX open-source? I'd be interested in a peak at it...

hlxce is open source... The schema look fine, as do most queries... I've added some indexes to improve things - but obviously not enough of an improvement...
