How to report problematic players

Postby GTFO. G » 30 Dec 2009, 15:48

If you have a problem on any of our servers, the quickest and easiest first step to address the situation is to join our group chat. There is almost always an admin available in the chat room, who will be able to help.

To join the chat room you can either join by clicking this link: GTFOGaming Group Chat. However it would be easier if you are already a member of the GTFOGaming steam group - click here to join: join GTFOGaming Steam Group - Then you should have this option at the bottom of your friends list:

If an admin isn't available in the chat room, or isn't able to assist at that time, you should record a demo of what is happening. To record a demo look at this thread: How to record and play demo's

Alternatively, you can take screenshots if they are suitable for illustrating the infringement.

Once you have a demo, or screenshots please attach them to your forum post, which should be in the "Bans/Suspect Players" forum. When creating the post, our general guideline is to include the player name, followed by steam id, and finally the game - this is not essential - an admin will edit the title accordingly if necessary. e.g. John Doe STEAM_X:Y:ZZZZZZ [HL2DM]

If you are unable to get any evidence, at the very least note down the players name, and if possible steam ID (status in console) - admins read the forums, and will take action if they can, or are at least are aware of players to keep an eye out for.

When people ask me "Plz" just because it's shorter than "Please" - I feel perfectly justified to answer "No" because it's shorter than "Yes"
