Lazytown Regs Vs The Rest Of The Community

So, you guys play all the time on #6, posting your l33t scoreboard pics in threads in the TF2 forums, even though the map is very open-ended. And worst of all, its fast respawn *vomits.* You guys think you can work as a team camping that middle point with 10 sentries, whereas regulars on other servers play maps that are actually more tactical to play and less of the spamfest! That is why the rest of the community want to challenge you to a match! Don't worry though, we are not going to put you in unknown territory by playing a map you guys have not played before (that would be all the other maps in TF2, bar lazytown) so thats why we are going to play lazytown, match rules, 9v9, vanilla respawn. Heck we will even let you choose if you want the lazyday or lazynight version of the map because we are nice like that.

don't the lazytown regs play at ridiculous times from 1am to 5am or something like that? will they manage to get a team that can handle sunlight?

i may be able to play for the lazytown team.

It does seem like its going to be a bit unfair as it appears the 'rest of the community' team has already been made up of players who often play together in matches, and not what i would consider 'a general team representing the rest of the community'. As plodge mentioned, it seems the team was already decided when the idea was posted.

compared to what is likely to be a bunch of randoms for the lazytown team. We will see who else volunteers.

your often on lazytown sammo so i thought you would of volunteered for the lazytown team

Well, i always used to play lazytown before MW2, so i think i'll give Jamie a hand on this one :wink:

I havent played DODS in at least a month or two now so LT has become my new home

Have time for that match. If you want you can put me down as a reserve for lazytown "spammers".

Have to say though that i partially disagree with the term above.While some of the LT regs might be hopeless spammers-including myself we actually DO play other maps aswell. Other maps can turn into the spamfest or camping ground rather quickly too lol-goldrush for example...

sounds spiffy. unfortunately I wouldn't be able to play even if there were still room. gotta work all day Saturday, so starting at 9PM (my timezone) is cuttin' it kinda close. if there's ever a rematch or something planned I suggest a Sunday.

Normally 5cp maps in comp play are Played for 30minutes, or until a lead by 5 is achieved. I'm not sure how Lucky planned for LT to go down, but i'm pretty sure it will have a wins and a time limit, so it won't be like the 5hr rounds that LT usually end in.
But as I said, havn't talked to lucky, so we'll ahve tos ee what he has planned.

as the poll is clearly showing lazyday is the winner, i have started working on adding a timer e.t.c. that adds time based on capped points and actually doesnt stick on overtime

I have also fixed the building of engie stuff on the roofs over the middle point.

Im contemplating also stopping the building of teles in each players spawns.

Its often on the #00 server (the private server with a password).

But if its ok to spec during such match, dunno. Maybe they can finally sort out the SourceTV?

the match will probably be played on my server as I will have to upload the custom maps which we may use for our teams map (gullywash e.t.c.)

However you will be unable to spectate painkiller, however I will have a source tv demo of both the maps which you can view
