The past few weeks these guys have been turning up and destroying everyone, They only stick close together and the medic only exclusively heals the group. You can see the unbalanced effect they have in maps.

I don't know what to make of this extreme clan teamwork, sucks all the fun out of the game.

I'll leave it to you guys, what do you think?

I say kick them off the server and when/if they complain, explain to them that these are public servers for the enjoyment of everyone, and that they aren't some sort of pro-player or clan training site. Explain the concept of teamwork to them in its wider context, i.e. helping the rest of the team and not playing only for themselves, splitting up so they're on both teams, etc. Once you've done all that, let them get on with it, and if they persist with this behaviour after being warned, ban their pro-playing, elite, super-duper asses for a day for ignoring admins.

encountered these before here, european-history-tf2-t8189.html

me, coxy and gash have all had experience with them aswell, going medic + demo combos and not healing/ubering anyone bar their friends.

We asked them to stop and all we got back what sarcastic, sly comments.

Time to wield a bigger stick then, personally I would scramble them a few times to see if they get the message, if not, then remove them.

They seem to believe that just because they're pro players in one of the big European leagues (and, indeed, have won some of them) that we owe them some sort of special respect. The sarcastic comments and Kate Austen's mega-bitching flame when European History got banned are proof of this. The bottom line is, if they're playing on our servers, the onus is on them to conform to our rules. If they won't do that, there's no reason to tolerate them here. Kick them if they misbehave and then take it from there with the usual 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 permaban treatment that most troublemakers get.

Alright, time for you to see this situation from a perspective other than your own, which is something you may be incapable of doing.

1. We know you're not cheats or hackers; aside from the European History incident, that has never been an issue. We know also that you're all damned good players, possibly the best ones we've ever had here.

2. However, you are all uniformly arrogant, obnoxious, rude and confrontational rather than cooperative. If anyone calls you out for sticking together and playing only for yourselves, the reply is a barrage of abuse. Your chatlogs are full of insults directed at the casual players who make up over 99% of our player base.

3. Laro's points are well made, and my responses to them were measured and I stand by them. Your very presence sucks the fun out of the game because just by being here, you screw up the balance. Everyone who goes up against you gets owned and it's very, very rare that you go up against each other.

4. You treat the players and admins with equal contempt and if a thread happens to crop up as this one has, you're the only one who ever turns up. To make matters worse, when you do arrive, you don't bother to actually defend yourselves at all. Instead, you just resort to this sort of 'lol u r ridiculous' stuff. You don't seem capable of actually answering any of the points put to you and, frankly, a lot of people here are getting sick of you.

EDIT: you've all replied now. Thanks for proving my point by referring to our general player base as 'shit'.

Last time when we had an argument with GTFO admins (dunno, couple weeks ago) it all started because of you. You started to warn us with no reason (not healing others and so on and so on, even though i only ubered the ones i play with, not the other players, but i still gave them fully healing when they were near enough, but you couldn't see that).

And dont even bother bringing up the STACKING CARD. There's shitload of friends and clans whos stacking. They just arent that good to show it perfectly.

Dude,

First of all, if one of us goes medic it is most likely that we feel that a medic healing us could really help the team. If the medic concentrates the heals on one of us we will get more done than any other pyro/heavy getting constantly ubered by other medics. So the whole team benefits from the medic concentrating the heals on us and occasionally healing others. This helps completing the object a lot, but I guess thats kinda hard to understand, because the only thing we wanna do is piss off everyone and ruin everyone's game (protip: sarcasm).

Why do we go on the same team? Simple, it is so hard for people to actually complete the objective and understand that the objective should be completed (e.g. your average pub pyro). And by us going on the same team we actually get the objective done. So what you fail to realize is that we are actually trying to complete the objective, which almost everyone fails to do.

Maybe people should learn something from us and actually do something useful and quit being retarded. Most importantly play as a team, maybe you haven't read the name of the game, but it's actually called Team Fortress 2 (note the emphasis on team.)

I believe the chances are that one of the admins made the very point that I'm trying to make here at the moment, i.e. that you're not team players, and attempted to redress the balance. You've just proved part of that right there with "i only ubered the ones i play with, not the other players" meaning, I guess, that you agree with me that you really do regard the other players with contempt, not worthy of your ubers. Additionally, referring to our casual players and regs as 'shit' is not winning you any friends here.

Yes, we do have an ongoing issue with stackers, and we try to deal with it as and when it comes to our attention. You're not a special case. You are, however, extremely rude and unpleasant. Maybe this is a bonus in the leagues, but here it just makes you look daft and undermines most of your case by proving that you really are a bunch of arrogant idiots with no interest in anyone but yourselves.

One more thing, sweetheart. Don't tell me what I can and can't bother bringing up in my own damn forums.

Most people on GTFO play for fun. We're neither pro nor shit, we're also respectful to the admins who help to run and maintain a good set of servers for people to play on. FREE! I donate, but I don't have to to enjoy the atmosphere and friendliness on the GTFO servers. When any of you lot join the mood goes a bit darker, at least for me it does.

The fact you can't fathom how people feel and act accordingly just goes to show your lack of maturity.
My friends call me Keith, you can call me John.

So yeah, maybe i dont uber other players than the ones i play with. But what is the point of having medic if you cant use it properly? For example: Gravelpit, C-point. Its sometimes impossible to cap it if you uber people who really doesn't have any clue what they are supposed to do. Or Pipeline? We played almost whole maptime stalemating the first stage of the map, how do you think it would end if there wouldn't be any 'organized' ubering?

I see your point there, but i would be just happy to get buffhealing or anyway got saved when youre on fire or low hp. Uber is the key to win the rounds, if you waste it, you waste time, and you wont win a round. Its so damn funny to play stalemate maps and try to push with one uber and try to destroy 5 sentrys all over the last point. With braindead people, it would be just pointless.

And yes, WE are also playing there for fun. We are not there just to piss you off.

TF2, serious business.

You don't seem to be grasping what I'm trying to say here, so I'll try again. Your very presence unbalances the game because you steamroller everyone in your path. In the leagues this is a good thing. In here, it's not, and for the simple reason that the vast majority of our players are pubbers. A great many people here play for the fun of the game. The actual objective is secondary to that fun.

Let me put it this way. Imagine a very low, small, football league where the teams are made up of members of the public with a casual interest in the game. They play their matches, they have fun, sometimes they win and sometimes they lose. Then, one day, one of the teams in this hypothetical league fields a bunch of ringers who look like average joes but are actually professional players. The inevitable result is that the team with the ringers stamps all over everything in its path and it wins everything. The everyday guys get pissed off with this and they either start to leave or they try to join the team with the ringers in it. The result is that the games become very unpleasant for everyone except the ringers, who have a great time mauling all comers.

You guys are the ringers. You play alongside the regular players because you have to, but your very presence unbalances the game. The other team does not have you and so it gets murdered. If you at least split up, 2 per side, it would be more fun for everyone, but you have this singleminded determination to achieve the objective no matter what, and this is what's upsetting people. You're like the Terminator in a daycare centre. Of course we don't have a chance against you, but it's unfair and its unsporting and as admins, we have a duty to look after our regs. That means, much as I would dislike having to do it, I would be obliged to remove you from the server if I caught you playing in this manner.

Also, calling us useless and retarded is not diplomatic.

Your suggestion is to split us into different teams. Ok, we get that.

Well get this: WE'VE TRIED IT BEFORE AND WE STILL MANAGED TO EMPTY THE SERVER. A redistribution of face raping doesn't make the game more balanced, it just means that more people get wtfpwned.

Jacob agrees.

I think what your problem is here. You dont really need any good players to your servers, or then it not be fun to play anymore?

Should you just put somekind of sign that literally show's that you dont want any better than average players to join?

I mean, i understand if you can't handle the beating, but geez. We unbalance the game. Lets put up a donation for a server, that only has 4 slots in the red side (us) and the rest, lets say 20 players are on blue? Then you wouldn't be that mad.

Lost guys, look, we don't mind you playing on our servers but, when you do, we expect it's reasonable that you abide by our rules and/or guidelines, same as everyone else has to.

From here on in we'd like to see you guys, as we do with everyone, balanced out across teams and not all in one team. If you can't play in that way then it's more sensible for you to play somewhere else where such play may be welcomed.

Dude,

I could say the very same to you.

Don't you understand we try and work together to actually win the round by pushing together and not build a sentry on CP1 on a CP5 map at the start of the round (everyone else in the team can feel free to push together with us, but this is almost never the case).

I don't understand why you keep referring us as "pros" who play competitively everyday, most of us don't play competitively and have never been in a clan in TF2.

It doesn't limit anyone from playing as a team, even if we do it, so maybe it should encourage others to play as team as well (so that they don't get "steamrolled").

And me saying that people should quit being retarded isn't directly referred to anyone, but as a general note about the public play, which could be improved by playing as a TEAM.

maybe you should encourage more team play and stop wasting your energy in a fight against "TEAM STACKERS".

Excuse me, encourage other people to play as well as you guys? Have you any idea how ridiculous that sounds? How long would it take for someone to learn the game as well as you know it? Days, weeks, months? And in between then, they get their asses handed to them on a daily basis. This is not fun for anyone.

As for the 'pro' bit, Kate assured us way back when this started that you were pro players in the leagues. Perhaps that's not the case. It doesn't matter, though, because the basic points still stand. It doesn't encourage anyone to do anything except leave, because you won't play against each other. That's all I'm asking you to do. Just that. Just play against each other rather than all on the same team. It's not much to ask for. I'll look forward to seeing you ingame when this happens.

In the meantime, thread locked.
