Microsoft Sidewinderx8

the Sidewinder x8 is the newest version of the Sidewinder series. Unlike the older sidewinders, this one comes with a LED display at the side which can tell you if you have low battery, full battery and which dpi your on.

It has 3 "on-the-fly" dpi buttons which you can set to what dpi you want. The dpi settings goes up in 250 intervals, 750-1000-1250 etc. The lowest dpi setting is 250 while the highest is 4000dpi.

It is a wireless mouse but when the batteries get low, there is a cable wich has a magnetic end and simply attatches to the bottom of the mouse so you can still play and charge.

There is 8 buttons alltogether (left & right click, 2 buttons on side and a mouse 3 and mouse tilt left & right and a macro button). Every buttons function can be changed and even for different programs. The mouse comes with a little round container which holds little mouse feet for different frictions, 3 sets of mouse feet in total.

You missed out its biggest draw - the BlueTrack sensor!

Got a blue track mouse chucked in with my new pewter, tried it once and gave up. The mouse wheel had no "click" and simply resting my finger on it in TF2 caused me to cycle through all my weapons about 7 times. No amount of fiddling with any settings would stop it doing that.

Of course that problem is nothing to do with the blue track sensor, but it put me off them.

If you're gonna go for a wireless gaming mouse and have the budget to go for something like this, i suggest the Razer Mamba over this, might write a review on that when i get back home (Cause i am currently on lizard island in the great barrier reef)

woops. Well, I'v had the mouse for about 6 months, Have not had 1 problem with the mouse except for when i first got it, I thought it was big and chunky. Nothing like roccat kone or somthing like that. But soon got used to that and havn't had any problems with it dissconnecting or missing movements.
