Nope, no need, felt only a little provoced. And about the logic... well it was late anyway. If a "god" decides about when ppl die (or any other event in someones life, cos most believers tend to think that way), how can free will exist?

I was already AtheÃ¯st when I was 5 or 6. I was dragged to church as kid, when I was 8 I finally found a way to stop my parents from forcing me to go there. Still they found me a catholic school when I was 9, where daily about 1,5 hour was spend about learning psalms, biblestories etc. As I found it al one-sided, I went to the library, adult section and found some books about devil-worshipping and culture etc.... found in those also some texts for calling the devil to visit etc. Whenever they asked me to sing the frigging psalms I sang those. I even dared to ask the teacher to speak softer when he was reading from the bible, cos I was reading something else that was such a better story (Tolkien seemed to infuriate him even more). Took also some hits from one of the teachers.... when I came home my father saw that, and asked what happened... I said I had a discussion with the teacher, and obviously the teacher couldn't have his defeat. Next day my father came with me to school, and had a long argumented talk with the teacher. Took them 3 years before they really understood that I really MEAN it when I said that I did that to "balance" their shit and didn't believe in any of both sides of it.

When I was 19 or some, the Jehovah's Witnesses came almost weekly at our door on sunday mornings, way too early. Most of times my parents answered, but they got me annoyed after a number of times. So I went for it and after a discussion of about an hour he left weeping, guess he fell from his belief. Since that day, they didn't come anymore, probably our address was on the blacklist NOT to go anymore.

Years later another came while I was visiting my parents, it was a freezing -15 Celcius and actually a snowstorm on that sunday afternoon outside and he had his little kid standing beside him, for use as his "bait" to get inside ppl's homes.... She was about 5 or 6 years old and shaking of the cold. I said to the kid to stand next to the heater in the hall, and when she did, I closed the door, leaving her father outside. Went to the kitchen to look for some candy and gave her some.... when she was looking thorougly warmed up (~20 minutes or so), I opened the door (on which he had banged on for his kid). and told her to go outside again.... then I told him that next time I see him with his kid in this kind of weather, I would give him a beating that would at least last him for the rest of the winter. Cos he has to save souls, that is NO reason to let his kid suffer. I went for a thorough walk around the neightbourhood 10 minutes after that. My mother stood in the kitchen while this happened, and said nothing... but since then, I never heard her do her prayers anymore before and after the meals. Maybe she still did 'm when I was not there, I never asked.

Hmmmz, sorry... removed the more inappropiate things, but kept the stories... as some may find 'm funny and like to read 'm

Well, If the kid had proper clothing, and had some ISOLATION against the cold.. But the kid was skinny as hell, and the coat was something for the summer... I May not agree in someone's beliefs, I don't CARE, suit yourself.
But if one cannot UPHELD to take CARE of the NEEDS of their own children, I don't think such should consider themself ANY longer to be parents. As I cannot do much, just convey my message in a tone I think some will listen to. And no, I didn't find the guy, either cos the snow was falling SO thick I couldn't see him, or he wasn't there... and I couldn't see more than 20 meters or so. After walking around in the entire neigthborhood I was quite happy to return to my parents home, for my fingers and ears where freezing off... What I would have done is picking up the kid, saying to him that EITHER he's coming with me toghether with the kid, OR I ask the kid where it lives and bring it home myself. If the kid didn't know, I would've called the police.

I don't believe he stayed in the neightbourhood, and he went home with his kid, and had gotten the message.
