yes it was addressed with MY name on it (envelope that is). I got two passports, I got my own and the other one. I'm actually not sure what to do, I dont want to phone up the passport office as that costs me money. Thinking of handing it to plod as I want a paper trail just in case they come looking for it.

sent it back via first class mail in the end. Got a proof of posting - good enough for me.

Generally if you find a passport you're supposed to hand it in to the police. They usually then send them back to the IPS, who I believe will generally cancel them.

the plod were a waste of time. First of all the local plod shop was shut. Great. The one in town had moved so the next local one had some waste of space PCSO/civvie/pretend copper there who didnt want to take it. advised me to send it back so I did.

With the ease at which you could create utility bills on a reasonable laser printer it would have been shockingly easy for someone of "similar" looks to get a bank account opened. I bet i'm not the first to have had the wrong docs sent to them either.
