I've spent all day looking at that for another countdown!

Interesting marketing technique though. Any thoughts on whether it will increase sales of the potato sack?

It totally will, People are playing the games like crazy, Its basically the same as the Engineer update for TF2. However there was no speed in getting that released and I will be amazed if P2 gets released early.

Remember the Potato Sack? GlaDOS is apparently drawing “power” from
computers playing games in the potato sack. For every collective 48 hours
for one particular game, that game’s “power bar” goes up by 1%. And Steam
needs to record you actually playing the game – just leaving something
idling in the background does not contribute.

The potatoes we all frantically collected can still be collected – in
fact, you are a major contributor if you even collect one potato in one
game. Potatoes multiply that game’s particular power, so if, say, you
gathered 5 potatoes in Audiosurf and one in Bit.TRIP BEAT, you’d be
multiplying EVERYONE’s efforts in Audiosurf by 6x and BIT.TRIP BEAT by 2x.

Some people seem to think that launching multiple games is a good idea.
This is in fact, not helping at all, because Steam only records keyboard
activity in games launched through Steam, not through external launching.”

OVERCLOCKING TIME! I think the game will be releasing this evening/night

EDIT:

11:00 - Relaxation chamber locks released...
11:00 - Involuntary hazard mitigation associates have assumed testing positions...

Do you mean spoilers like this?

Game is pretty ace so far. Only played single player, going to try co-op once that is finished.

By the way, use this for spoilers since the text can still be read using just the spoiler tags. Again, remove the * characters.

SP is a little short for £30, in my opinion. 10 hours play, and I was distracted with work through a lot of that.

Just finished with SP. According to steam I've played 2.2 hours, but I know that can't right.

One of the most enjoyable campaigns ever played, with quite a few tricky levels.

Will get around to testing MP soonish :D

Haven't played the SP yet but yeah the co-op was awesome, with Laro being my partner in science of course!
Not sure about the re-playability of it though - most of the fun comes from trying to work things out (and killing each other on purpose  ) so if you already know the answers, is it as fun doing it again?

Just gotta say, I mean the game was brilliant. But the trailers made it look so more challenging. More spike things to jump between and try getting the timing right. I'd love some real challenges and I hope we'll get them later in the form of mods or DLCs!

Just finished the single player, I didn't think it was too short and I found it pretty challenging at times (but then again I suck at solving puzzles). Did some co-op with a friend last night too and that was pretty fun, brings some unique puzzles to the table when there's two of you involved.

As for the whole "Robot Enrichment" thing, the only good thing I can say about it is I hope Valve has plans to make it more valuable. When I put a hat on last night my partner couldn't see it anyway, it seems abit pointless at the moment when it's only there for one person but who knows; maybe Valve has plans for more co-op feature that will make it worth while.

Just finished the single player. Started as soon as it released (I stayed up :P), but tried to drag it out as long as I could after reading people completed in 4-5 hours. Currently going through the co-op with Luckyg when he's around.
I don't think it was too short, but for the length of the game I'm not sure it was worth the money. Hopefully DLC and custom maps will improve that. The story was great and funny, but I was really hoping for more stuff about half life than a bloody life ring :/.

On the plus side, now they have this out of the way they can start concentrating on hl2:e3/hl3 :).

Well here is my take:

I have yet to play portal 1, even though ive had it for a long long time. Might do it at the LAN next. As for portal 2, i'll hang off buying it until ive finished portal - who knows it may be on offer by then. (Hi Gash)

That about sums it up in my opinion.
