Post your dive

Postby GTFO. Sinister » 04 Apr 2008, 08:07

Yup.. as the title suggests, take a pic at it is now (don't tidy up) and post it.

Lets see who the messy ones are....

Image

Nothing really to note. The Coke bottle is around 3 or 4 days old. (the bin is just out of shot behind my chair) and the Cheese & Onion Walkers on to of my router have been there for about 3 weeks. And I still haven't opened them...

I didn't tidy this for the pic, honestly. I did tidy it last night before going to bed though.

Computers 001_small.JPG

This is my general use PC/area in our living room, we use it for Movie viewing, emails and internet. My girlfriend also has a few games on it such as Zuma, which she's hooked on, and Peggle (which I love too)

I have my Xbox360 hooked up to this monitor too, but you can't see it in the photo.

My gaming PC is on the other side of the living room, photo to come.

I didnt tidy up before taking the photo, but I did turn my lightsabre on!!

Computers 009_small.JPG

This is my PC setup/desk for gaming. Just the other side of the living room. My PC is on the right, built inside a piece of desk. Originally it was much bigger and my desk and PC were one and the same thing, but I had to cut it up with a jigsaw when moving house. It's still work in in progress really, hence the mess of wires etc.

Mostly a load of crap tech wise though, apart from my Razer Deathadder which is excellent.

I've got a sports bucket car seat and a wheel for playing outrun on MAME, as well as a bunch of newer driving games.

Just found you a t-shirt to go with the wall paper Kill-x:

Image

For the old ones on here who can't read the small text, it says:

"I would just like to let everyone know that I'm a girl, and I like ribbons in my hair, and I want to kiss all the boys."

lol.

Oh and one for Jamie too:

That's way too tidy. And you have a plant too? Look at you! lol.

I don't think I'll ever post mine... my wall paper is worse than Kill-x and messier than Gash...

But, thus far I still have the best case...

Image

Although I want to upgrade to this beast:

Image

Current one is a beast... but runs cool and silent plus has room to work IN the case. Just need a fork lift to move it as the damn thing is made of 3mm metal throughout, no plastic at all. lol

Nice case Hydra, though I have to say I'm a fan of side panel windows to show off the nice stuff you have inside as well as out.

My case is crap, well its not even a case, but I made it myself, so I get bonus points.

Anybody ever seen http://www.thebestcasescenario.com ? some sweet mods on there.

Oh and nice pot plants TheUnnacceptableFist, does that help calm when you get pwned?

Do you play DODS/TF2 etc with your screen in front of you? Looks like it's kinda on your left side, if your facing same direction as the keyboard..

Work? Well it hardly does, I mean, I did build it, so I was quite impressed just to get a few of the parts fitting together. It doesnt really function like a normal PC though, I try to think of it as being almost autonomous, and sometimes in a bit of a bad mood.

As you can see it'd about as tidy as your average teenager. MoBo is screwed directly onto some wood, the PSU on a shelving bracket, the HDDs in a caddy I ripped out an old ATX case, the same with the optical drive and fan controller down below.

Computers 006_small.jpg

The cooling flows from back to front, with a 120mm intake passing air over the motherboard/shelf, then forced upwards, and out the bank of 3 80mm fans. It's a noisy beast and sounds like a small aircraft.

tha main structure is just part of a flatpack desk. I added a door to the front made from wood and uv perspex type stuff. Still working on the lower section around the optical drive. And eventually need to tidy the whole thing up. My 'dive' is fairly neat. But my PC not so..

Well, I for one, am impressed mate. Speaking as a bloke who buys his "geek bling" off the shelf I am always in awe of someone who builds their own! To be fair though, the thought of ME modding or building my own case makes my blood run cold! lol.

Good work mate, and good luck with finishing your case off!
