That's right we'll be running ranked Bad Company 2 servers.

The IP addresses for the initial offering we have are as follows:

They are all 32 man, and ranked.

No map cycles or game modes have been finalised yet. This post will be updated when they are tweaked/changed - be sure to post suggestions in the Bad Company 2 Server Suggestions Thread.

We haven't had time to play with the servers yet, to see what can and cannot be done. So at this moment in time, it is unconfirmed if Reserved slots will work. Due to EA and ranking system, we get very limited access to the server, so wait and see on this. We will keep you posted in regards too this.

Gash & I had a play on these this morning once the game was released. When we logged on 3 of the servers were full and a fourth was about a third full or so. Played a couple of the maps which were amaaaazing. Seems a lot smoother than the BETA although I only played the BETA a little so don't really have much to go by.

Going to enjoy BC2 I reckon.

None of them are, yet - server software is still beta imho.

is a few people on the bad company forums complaining that there is no option for server admins to set class limits. As we will need restrictions on recon class unless we want everyone sat with it like in beta

Though as you said, server software is not finalized.

Would that ever be possible though? considering how tight EA/DICE are been about modifying most things on ranked servers.

I have been designing a cross server ban/admin system for BC2 - and have given thought to a res slot system which wont work like that, but will need a free slot.

I haven't started implementing it though. And until EA allow GSP's access to punkbuster config, I can't get started. But I *believe* this will happen soon.

i would personally leave it for a month or so, then when a lot of the bugs have gone it will be far more enjoyable.
