BC2 vs. MW2

Postby Echelon » 06 Mar 2010, 00:13

This poll needs to stay on for a while so that people can try BC2 and after a while, find out what they think is the best game.

I'm putting it up right now, will be interesting to see in a month or so, what the result will be.

You can change your vote any time.

well you have posted this in the bad company 2 section of the forum, where only people that are really interested in the game visit and therefore like the game, and subsequently will vote BC2 :P

While atm i would say its pretty close between BC2 and mw2 due to BC2 being rather buggy, but come a month or so and bc2 will blow MW2 away fo sure

EDIT: also what people need to understand is that BC2 and MW2 are completely different games,

with MW2 you can go round guns blazing and probably get atleast a 7 kill streak, you do that in BC2 and your dead within 1 minute, the game focuses on taking cover and using your squad mates to provide life and ammo, providing your team mates with strategic support in the form of spotting enemys.

While im not saying MW2 is an easy game, compare it to BC2's level of difficulty and it hits you smack bang in the face, in bad company 2 players are bullet sponges and can take lots of bullets before dieing, you need to time yourself when you are going to pop out and shoot, and when you are going to take cover and recover for a few seconds before finishing them off.

i think its hard to compare these two games as they are different in many ways. for me it is MW2, i have played the CoD series since modern warfare one and have enjoyed them all, even though mw2 can be very annoying sometimes. i played BF2 and enjoyed it but for me the maps were too big and there was just constant vehicle whoring. My pc didnt run the beta so im not too confident about BC2, may purchase if reviews/benchys persuade me otherwise :D

EDIT 1: and im a noob, noob noob noob noob noob noob

EDIT 2: haha ,very funny, ima say Lucky or Gash, grrr

Still BC2, I prefer the big maps and vehicles. MW2 is too much small, and you die too quickly... Makes Orv mad :P

I enjoyed the BC2 singleplayer too. With its beatdowns on MW2, its pretty entertaining. Like the part where you're racing eachother on quadbikes, and one of 'em says "Snowmobiles are for pussies"
Priceless

Seriously though, after MW1, I wasn't gonna be getting MW2. Too many jerks playing MW and the lack of dedicated server support is a pain in the arse.
BC2 all the way! Better graphics, better gameplay, bigger maps, more targets and Destruction 2.0 environment!

I played a lot of MW2 but as soon as I found out about BC2 it was like I was only playing it to fill the time to the release of it!

BC2 is far far better imo. Massive maps, 16v16 and dedi servers = win. Gameplay is a lot better than MW2 also.

Yes vito, imho it's good fun - you definitely MUST drop into vent though (as should all you clowns who don't).

With myself, gash, cih, lucky, tommy, neelix, aztec, snuggles, whizz to name a few all in vent we get some pretty good team work done - and it's a lot more fun.

A number of aspects from the MW2>BC2 video are actually better in BC2
Commando Knife kills only in MW2? So theres no way you can move and knife someone in BC2?
More explosions? Not quite, find a server with a coupld og 40mm Whores and you see explosions every 10 seconds.
Weapon accuracy? If you sprayed a SCAR in RL, the recoil would take the weapon out of you're hands. In MW2 is looks like you have an Anti-Recoil hack.
But then again, MW2 is a failed console port for Yankee kids, so they need to make it look good to their viewers....
