Scores System...

Postby POWER_MAN » 07 Sep 2011, 18:14

Hello all GTFOGaming users !
I like GTFO servers.It's really cool,good maps,good players....and
really really good stats.support,BUT

I don't understand only two things:

1.Why stats.activated ONLY when players are +6 or more...

2.Why when one player who have ~1000 /1500/2000 scores kill me he takes 10 or 20 scores per kill,
if I kill him I take ONLY 2 or 4 scores ?

I really dont understand where is the deal ?!?

1. It's to try and stop people getting two of their friends together and avoid them killing, healing, shooting and just getting lots of points.

2. The points you earn/lose are based on the points level of who you kill/who kills you. It's meant to benefit you to kill someone who has a lot more points because they should be 'a better player. 'Eg:

A>People with less than 50 kills will get/lose 2 points regardless of who gets killed.
B>If you have 1000 points and you kill someone with 5000 points, they will lose/you will get approx 25 points because you killed someone who had a LOT more than you do.
C>If someone with 1012 points kills you when you have 3000 points, they have killed someone with more.. SO you lose/they get a large amount of points.
D>People with 2000 who kills someone else with 2000 will usually get 2,3 or 4 points because they have a similar point level as you do.

3 v 3 is a fairer game, it also helps prevent people farming for points just doing 1 v1 etc. I think that's the reason anyway.

It's to stop people getting too many points and make staying on the top ranks harder, see this page for a more detailed explanation.

This explains everything...
Do not you think that so not motivate players to play ?

Okey...today I play for 8,3 minutes:
Kills:20 ; Deaths:6 ; Action:Killing Spree (skill bonus 8 )
result : -61 scores
Info for enemy scores:Between 1000 / 1200 scores

Well...would you say that this is normal !?!

You have to get above 50 kills for normal points to kick in, I believe it tells you this when playing. Usually says [21 of 50 for normal points] or something
