what is wrong is the fact that the overseer controls what the non savvy majority can and cant be used on them - this has never been the case on previous operating systems.
Speaking on behalf of the non-savy majority....
I remember the days when I HAD to make my own programs...(for those of you not old enough)...there was a time before WINDOWS. The days when a "game" was a list of commands on a black screen. C:/DOS/games/ blah blah blah/blah.exe
Never being the IT minded or savy, this was HOPELESS. I had an IBM that kept crashing, floppy discs that would get stuck in the drive and an actual phone for the modem. THEN I was introduced to the Apple. It was the underdog to the might of the IBM in the US. It was quirky, it was overpriced, and damn hard to get. But boy did I want one! It took over 20 years later for me to get my first Apple and I'm in heaven. No more over heating, no more waste of space around my desk, no more programs that continually ask me questions that I don't care about, it just does what it says on the tin.
There will always be a big bad. It was IBM in my day, then Bill Gates, now Steve Jobs. But I have to ask, where would we be with out these "baddies". Think how far Apple has pushed design and usability. Without Jobs, who will be next...is there someone at Samsung I should be hating?
yes I am a girl, yes I am blonde, and yes that was me shooting you....
