[Recruited] Systematic Slayer

Postby GTFO. Systematic Slayer » 02 Jan 2012, 13:18

Name: Systematic Slayer (sometimes changes with 'Slayer' usually being at the end. Depends on who I'm slaying really ;)

Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:36644591

Age: 19

Games Played: I play Team Fortress 2 on the GTFO servers regularly. I own DoDS and HLDM2, but I don't play on them as often. I play on the Flash server every now and again, but at the moment, I am not too good. Enjoy the game though :) Apart from that, I have been gaming ever since I could walk (seriously, I finished Sonic at age 4 xD) I play a heck of a lot of games, primarily RPGs and shooters. If you ever need to ask me a question about a Bioware game, then I will know right away. I also play all Blizzard, Westwood and Bethseda games. I even dabble in the old school game archives every now and again. My favourite game is probably Baldurs Gate 2 though. Made well over a decade ago and still loving it.

Location: York

Connection: 5-10 meg (my home line, my parents' line is a bit more erratic, as some of you may know!)

Why you want to join: I have been on the GTFO servers for around a year now, and hang out in chat pretty much daily. I really respect and admire the community you have here, and I have gotten to know a few of the admins. The servers are really enjoyable, and there are a lot of regular players on the servers who keep me on my toes. Although I am not as active on the forums, I do look at the new topics and keep updated on GTFO news. I am an active player, who is usually on Steam throughout the evening. And I will be on during the day unless I am at work or in between uni lectures. I came to the LAN in August and had a great time with you all (I was the tiny person with the black hair.) And as those of you who were there could tell, I am pretty much glued to the screen when gaming. I had such a great time that I intend to go to future GTFO LANs :)

Contact: blasto92@gmail.com (although I am on Steam far more often than anything else. Also, some of you have me on facebook.)

*generic post time!*
Thanks for your application, the application process can take up to 6 weeks so please ensure you remain active during this time in order for the clan members to consider your application and evaluate your performance. Keeping active in the community aids your application greatly in that regard, you can do this by ensuring you remain active on the forums (if only to check and reply to this thread), the servers and joining the group chat on Steam when you are available.

Best of luck Tash, probably one of the longer applications I've had to read! :D

It is that extreme, but it actually involves little furry animals and stretchy underpants, not genitalia removal

I may have to avoid the DoDS server you're in Master, I have heard of how good you are at that game!

And thanks KLYL! I only found out you are a woman yourself last night, and I have been playing on Lazytown with you all this time xD

Re: [Under Review] Systematic Slayer

Postby Russian Guyovich » 13 Jan 2012, 02:21

There's been plenty of times when a regular has come to report something in chat and Tasha is there but no admins are present, so nothing can be done at that point in time unless a ban thread is created. She's one of the few people who enters the chatroom on a daily basis, she makes the effort to populate the TF2 servers and I think she's more than capable of being a great admin.

Who gives a fuck if she doesn't play DODS? Let's be honest - it's a dying game and it's not that important for applicants to be cross-functional aside from acquiring the barebones admin skills. You need other people aside from Sly, Nacho, Avenger and the select few active admins who still main on TF2 to look after the servers.

It'd also be nice to see some of the admins who will inevitably be voting on this application to make some effort in entering the chatroom from time to time so you get a chance to actually know who she is before you take the lazy way out i.e. abstain from voting. Fair enough, applicants should make the effort to make themselves known to admins (and I completely agree with that), however you say in your recruitment guidelines that they should frequent the chat, but what good is that if there's barely any admins who go there?

As a reg DOD player,a little worried by the way this post is going. Tash is smart friendly, already been to a Gtfo LAN is always in chat and plays the games. What's not to like? Sort it Gtfo we need more like her!

Thanks guys! I am willing to play DoDS more, I simply prefer playing TF2. They are very different styles of games, and I doubt you will find many people who enjoy both games equally.

Like Rus said, I'm in chat every day, so I am always willing to get to know admins. I am also on the TF2 servers practically every day, and I am usually in the Mumble server while playing as well. Thanks again Rus, Rocky and Paul :) .
