To all donors

As you may or may not be aware, all donors are entitled to become a member of the Donor group on the forum. It doesn't give you any extra rights but just gives you a blue name and a donor title image next your posts. (cool, i guess?)

Unfortunately when you donate on the site it isn't possible to automatically add you to this group and it has to be done by hand (bit of a pain but nevermind)

I tend to add people (and i'm sure G does also) as I remember or see them donate and then see a post from them on the forum that jogs my memory but i'm sure many people have accounts that don't show their status. Due to the manual process and there being hundreds of donors it would take far to long to check every person.

So, if you've donated at any point in the past but didn't get your forum account changed to reflect your donor status, post a reply in this thread and i'll look into it.

No. It is sensible to have an admin forum due to the fact that you don't really want to be discussing "lets keep an eye on...." or "xxx is a complete tosser...." or "the new 00 password is....." in the open forum.

If we start splitting up donor/non donor posts then you'll just end up with a lot of posts that half of the people can't see which would more than likely have a detrimental effect on the forum itself. Or alternatively duplicating a lot of posts because one set of people don't know its already been discussed elsewhere!

dont think those 8 MvD's would have much use for it, cutting it in half with the normal donors wont work either. And then with MvD's, Donors and regs, which would make only the "bans and suspected players" a open forum.....

I dont see a valid point to do any of them.

donors should be able to discuss amongst themselves how they think the servers should be run, considering they help towards the upkeep of them.
