bit of a boring subject, but im having to look through this atm...

with the recent pricing changes done by scottish power and future changes in line to be done come August time, are people considering switching provider or changing tariff etc?

i am with scottish power, and im looking to switching, currently I am looking favourable to NPower, as they are offering a fixed rate for just over a year (i rent so no point going longer) and at a cheaper quote to Scottish power, also via quidco.com I can get up to 80 quid cashback...

still undecided and need to look through it a bit more, as it is boring as fuck and all the different fucking tariffs... JUST HAVE ONE!

youswitch.com is also handy at the best of times to compare...

quidco is ace. http://www.topcashback.co.uk is another that I use but quidco usually tops them for utilities.

I am with edf online energy 7, they have a "standing charge" and a set tariff for gas and electric (no multi tier thingy). This suits me down to a tee as we use hellish amounts of gas and electricity (£160 per month there abouts probably 70% electricity). I had another look around when the price rises were announced and noone was cheaper for large users or elecricity.

I switched from scottish power in december, got £100 from edf and another £100 from quidco but I am locked in till december.

Dont forget quidco for your home insurance and car insurance. Just be sure to clear your cookies out! (I use "private browsing when buying quidco stuff) just to be sure that the advertising cookie tracks properly. My advice, look at your years usage not a monthly bill, put that into a price comparison site to see who comes out the best, they look through quidco for the best cashbacks.

If anyone else out there has never switched read this http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilit ... lectricity taken from a great website that has saved me a packet over the years.
