We Challenge GTFO

As a lot of you GTFO'ers know I play on GTFO quite often (although not recentely due to RL issues). Well I'm not technically clanned or anything, I have a team of strong players who are mostly regulars on your server that have come together to challenge you guys for a Clan War (or PCW if you'd rather). If the lack of tag bothers you, I'd doubt anyone would object to the tags for a bit....hell, maybe we will stay together. I don't know anything about the British school schedule or how you are doing w/ exams but let me know a general timeframe for this to happen such as dates and time of day. A potential format: Best of 3 maps wins it, each map is best of 3 wins. So:

Map #1: My team (You pick sides)
Map #2 Your team (We pick sides)
Map #3: Donner (Random side draw)

I'm sure i made it much too complicated. Anyways, whoever wants to organize w/ me just PM me on the forums and ill send you my MSN for ease of chat or whatever works best for you guys. Also let me know how many guys you think can make it since we gotta have even numbers. So you are officially challenged!

that sounds good, aslong you think your team of guys can manage to kick our ass and your not all clowns im sure we would go ahead with a cw.

best of 3 maps..that could go on for afew hours you know!

maybe just the one map, 2 20min halfs & teams swap sides at half time.

specify who your team is...give us the names so i can research these "regulars".

i'd prefer a best of 2 maps...with each map being 2x15 minute rounds. dont want to be playing in a clan match for hours on end.

might take a few days to get it sorted out and for us to get a team arranged but we should be able to do it at some point in the next week.

what we doing 5vs5 standard...or is it gonna be like a community match vs clan...9vs9?

i agree with al but what if we lose on 1 map then own on another then its a tie...so its then a tie braker?

take the points for each round on each map and add them together. any round wins (full captures) are worth 50 points.

i thought the standard was points based...

yeah fall caps + the (bracket points) = each teams total score ...obviously the team with most points wins the match.

Points accumulated as denoted within the brackets, plus fifty points per full cap acquired.

example:

-Team A: Rounds: (3) Points: (+57)

-Team B: Rounds: (2) Points: (+36)

-Total: Team A 207 - 136 Team B

one map = one match

so whoever wins the 1st match ends up with the score 1 - 0

then 2nd match the same team when again 2 - 0

or it might end up 1 - 1

not unless you want to carry the points over during the matches which can get confusing & hard to keep track of

5v5 is too small number to play in a big map like donner. I would suggest at least 9. What abt others? Oh yeah, I would like to nominate Iceberg.

But we might aswell make it a 9vs9 if we can get our whole Squad together one night....it'll be like a community fun match instead of a 5vs5 cw

Lol, well I'm happy there has been such a response to the idea and it seems that I'm not really organizing my team anymore since its like a free-for-all. I had a few camping classes lined up but I haven't been able to get a hold of them so I guess we will have a full rush team lol. It will be fun to say the at least. So the update team it appears is:

I don't recall playing with Darth before so is he a confmirmed player or ...? I am reserving at least one more slot for another player I have to get a hold of so stop volunteering everyone lol. Elimin8or is going away until next Wed. so if we could plan it for after that it would be awesome, as well gives everyone time to set that time aside. Again, I'm probably one of the few (or only) in North America so you guys let me know what time of day is best on (THursday, Friday, Sat, or Sun).

P.S. Willing to take bets on the match. Currently as stands:

That made me laugh kyub... lol. Thinking about it Im not really that accurate with the Kar98 (e.g. i think G and Al have stronger %s), but It suits me best for reaction time (which ive gotten better at with the kar)- Similarly the rocket is a test of reaction time etc as you will not want be vulnerable for too long.

As for whether we meet at the same time, it really depends on whether my first shot doesnt connect lol... GIMME THAT PINK MIST!! :twisted:
