Hi,

I keep hearing and getting accused of some quick scope scripts and exploits in Dods. I quite frankly have no idea what people are talking about, so can someone please enlighten me on the subject? What is this quickscope exploit/script?

I understand that people might get the idea of me hacking/scripting/exploiting due to me being a very fast sniper, but I can't give this a better explanation than practice. After thousands of hours combined in FPS-games and ~500h of Dods, I am quite comfortable with my twich shot and the sniper scope timings. I "open" the scope before I go around the corner, timing it so that the scope is fully visible when I go around, probably making it seem like some quickscoping, since I only need a split second to see the enemy, aim and fire.

Also: The sniper scopes don't work properly while spectating for some reason, so this might also be a reason why sniping might seem like hacking to some people...

I have been banned from a few random Dods servers after playing on them when GTFO servers are empty, so I'm really starting to get tired of this... Please explain what I'm being accused of.

Its because your using the hack "vassili_zaitsev.exe"
Main advantages are you can hide constantly just to get a pr0 kpd ratio.
The downside is people get pissed of with you constantly because your crap with anything else and think your always sniper.

I find this funny cause I don't hide. I cap flags. Because that's what every class should do... (besides MG ofc...)

DODS specific rules
1. Don't whore limited weapons. On GTFO servers certain weapons (usually sniper, MG and rockets) are limited. It is common courtesy to use other weapons and not choose to be a sniper/mg/rocket at the start of every game. People who only play overwhelmingly with one class or weapon will be shown the exit.
Penalty: Kicked, repeated offenders banned.

I know. But Sniper isn't open that often, you know. If I play on a server for three hours, for example, and of that time I spend 30min-1h sniping, I wouldn't count it as hogging sniper.

Why don't assault-hogging players get booted then, btw...

stop sniping everytime play some of the non restricted classes then people might not accuse you so much also try setting 0ms interp if your that good rather than the 30ms that you use atm.

Its like your original post is trying to explain why your not hacking, wether you do or not i dont care tbh.

What your describing as far as i am concerned is not fast scoping or whatever and you do need more than a split second, i call its fast strafing its always existed in dods and previous dod. dont confuse this with switching etc.
Considering youve played over 500 hours (community profile says 146hrs btw) i thought you may have progressed to the more skillfull mainstream weapons by now.

The difference with assault vs sniper restriction as i see it is there are only two available and hogging it makes you or other people look more of a weapon whores.

I was only trying to explain if you use sniper 24/7 you may then find yourself complaining why youve been kicked banned hence the headsup concerning the whoring thing.

You more or less answered your own question with the mention of the spectator bug in your OP (afaik). This thread is just descending into a bitching competition against you now so it's better to end it here, I don't know how much time you're spending on the restricted classes but that will be an admin call should we ever decide you need to balance your classes out a little.
