WLTB Headset with mic - Suggestions?

Postby GTFO. Lost Sock » 23 Sep 2011, 12:53

Hey guys,

Looking to buy a new headset avec mic and thought I'd dip into the well of knowledge available here!

So, without further ado, who knows of a decent brand/model of headset and mic, which offers surround sound, high quality with little/no whitenoise and a decent mic for PC that is also good value for money?

Looking to spend up to £50, perhaps.

:)

Thanks,
Sock

Creative Fatality ones are excellent for the price.

Fanks peeps. Gone for the SpeedLink Medusa NX 5.1 v2 'cause, whilst the Creative Fatality ones looked good, their reviews were often that they were flimsy and didn't last long. I'm a clumsy oaf, so best to go down a sturdier route!!

Cheers for the help. :)

I had two and the mic on them lastest no more than 3 months at a time, if not less.

May have been a bad batch considering I bought both of them from Ebuyer, I got a little £5 attachment mic for the headset which lasted for ages and still worked when I bought my new headset a few months ago, the Corsair HS1

My new Medusa NX arrived at work today, so I shall give it a try this weekend when I get the chance (bloody weddings and beer festivals getting in the way of my gaming)...

Sounds like most of you have got on fine Fatality ones, but I really am quite heavy handed (and not sober, if I can help it) so hopefully I'll get a long life outta this Medusa...
