It's the corporate computers that are to blame - IE is just too easy to configure with group policy. Also, they tend to run absolutely ancient software that requires IE6 to work properly that they can't be arsed updating to use web standards properly. As a result, the entire company is often forced into using an old, slow, insecure browser.

My "Other" was Minefield , its from Mozilla and its like a beta version of Firefox 3.7 , but its really quick IMO, faster than any I have encountered so far.

It's a 64bit development version I believe, tried it once, and was good, but had no flash support

I'm now using a plugin for firefox called Stylish, man I wish I found that a long time ago, I can apply to most sites a dark theme now.:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2108

it uses sub-plugins called userstyles, and you can add 'm on the fly by clicking on the icon and search for styles for the site your looking at.

GTFO has no such, but others like Google, youtube, etc have all a big bunch of styles

for google, I use now this one: http://userstyles.org/styles/27249

for youtube, I combined 2:
http://userstyles.org/styles/15588
http://userstyles.org/styles/26923
installed the latter after, so its in the right order now looks GREAT!!!

/edit: changed the google theme, it was great for the front page, but search result page was still white. this one is actually dark themed result pages too.

FYI chrome is the fastest ATM, only major drawback is that it doesnt delete history automatically.

Chrome 5 beta is a fairly significant upgrade - integrated Flash plugins, synchronises your settings and themes as well as bookmarks, and is now even faster, beating out Opera 10.5. Me likey! :)

Looks whopping Data cheers. Might try it.

Although I have had trouble with themes in the past. resource hogging etc. :?

EDIT: Installed the shit...

Hmmm, scrolling in Youtube now seems slow as feck. Dunno bout that...

And the new shite they did with Google make sit look meh. See attachement. WHITE to the left.

Still looks great tho. Need a dark them for FF itself. Any good ones you're selling?

i'm using this one:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1529

I quite like it, but I push all buttons & bars in the upper most bar with the menu, and make it small buttons. Keeping 1 extra "quicklaunch" bar for sites I'm daily on.

I have the same problem as you with it the custom site themes, the first one only did the front page of http://www.google... and not the search result. this was the only reasonable so far I could try. It seems like there are a bunch of ones you can try out, and I did... sometimes combinations had good results other times you had to disable some. I'm glad you can install 'm easy and uninstall them as easy as 2 clicks without restarting the browser. You can see it in the screenshot I made, only the launch bar is hidden there (intentionally).
