Haven't done one of these for a while. Interesting to see the spread. I used firefox for ages but have switched back to opera again.

Use Chrome on the gamerig, don't think it's that fast. It's confusing to me...

I'm sticking with FF.

Chrome 4 stable here, with IE tab for those very few cases where I need the IE rendering engine. I've uninstalled the main IE executable from Windows 7, and also keep a portable copy of Firefox (though I don't normally use it).

I use Opera as my dominant browser, however I have Firefox and Chrome installed as well.

I'd love to see Opera adopt the features that require me to keep Firefox and Chrome installed (amazing browser plugins with Firefox and the individual process tabs of Chrome).

Tried Chrome for the f of it on this laptop, seems fast. But then again, wait until it clogs up just like all other browsers.

Really?

I found IE to slow down to a halt over time... Even the wife uses FF now, as she got fed up with the loading times.

Tried cleaning clean installing and whatnot. Still slow as f.

Had some very bad experiences with FF, so I avoid it now.
Granted its generally more secure that IE6/7, but I didn't find it to be nearly as stable.

Sir Round, if you dont enable the daft extra features in IE8, then it stays pretty quick (even on my bloody awful ADSL connection from those useless twats at Sky)

I'm *trying* to switch to Firefox, but missing many of the features in Opera - I think it's a superior browser for home users.

The built in lightweight mail, and IRC client are very useful as I only use IRC on occasion and dont want a fully featured client. Built in gestures, right click blocking of adverts/scripts (yes FF can do this with ABP - but that's an extra), and faster load times make it overall better imho. The ordering of tabs when opening in background and control + shifting through them is also more logical (maybe this can be configured in FF). Oh and ofcourse no memory leak (mozilla ever going to fix this?!) - I find FF using 500MB+ of RAM after hours of use.

The development tools in FireFox is what's really won me over for now.

IE8 is very good, the development/debugging tools are excellent. That's all I have to say on it - previous versions of IE were pretty poor imho.
When people ask me "Plz" just because it's shorter than "Please" - I feel perfectly justified to answer "No" because it's shorter than "Yes"

Been using Firefox for a good few years now and I've become too attached to it to move on I think, although I did use Opera as my main browser around '05-'06 if memory serves right - I guess it's abit more feature full now than it was back then. I guess I've got used to the way things work in Firefox and some of it's addons, Adblock Plus and Greasemonkey to name two :).

Chrome is fast when you open few tabs, with more tabs it's very slow. I think Chrome is good if you have high end system.

I use Opera. I think G posted some link to Opera beta a year or so ago. Thanks alot G!
